T1 - Kaiten
Distance from Koror: 0.75 miles (1 km), 3 minutes by speedboat.
Level of Diving Experience: Beginner to intermediate.
Diving Depth Summary: Ship rolled on the coral slope leaving a large debris field from the surface to her resting place at 100 feet (30 m)
Visibility: Intermediate – better visibility during incoming tides.

Location: Channel between Malakal and Arkebesang.
General Formation: A min submarine (Kaiten) and torpedo carrier, her unique slanted stern is designed to allow easy loading. T1 was built in 1943 and sunk in July 1944. Stern area is capsized, mid ship is devastated by explosion and bow section is upright and intact. Significantly damaged by unprofessional salvage of condensers.
Reef Formation: 100 feet (30 m) bottom is sandy with broken corals. Nice coral formations on sloping reef to south.
